Shindig In The Square, George Square, Glasgow, Scotland - 30th November 2007

George Square rocked St Andrew's Day in a blur of sound, colour and dance as the city honoured Scotland's Patron Saint. As part of the Winterfest events, supported by the Scottish Government, George Square became a celebration of all things Scottish. Despite some customary November rain an estimated 5,000 spectators from all around Scotland and beyond enjoyed a wonderful evening of music and dance here in Glasgow. FOURGOODMEN headlined the show. The band lined up as follows : Ian Donaldson, Derek Forbes, Mick MacNeil, Smiley, Jane Button, Carrie MacNeil and Yvonne McHugh. Regular guitarist Graeme Duffin, who had prior commitments with Wet Wet Wet, was replaced for the evening by former h2o guitarist Frank O'Hare. There were also cameo appearances by Ben MacNeil (Saxophone) and Alexis MacNeil (Bagpipes).

Gig Review - Andrea Farrington, The Wirral, England

The guys did so well. When I saw the weather and thought no one would be there, but when Fun and I arrived the party was in full swing (later than we originally anticipated may I add - takes time to look beautiful you know).

The weather didn't seem to have put anyone off and the presenter even said of all the St Andrew's day parties around the country this had the best turn out. It really made me chuckle when I saw the knickers and garter getting chucked on stage (and yes, it wasn't us before you start pointing!!). There was a real party atmosphere and I thought Frank did a great job on guitar. Can't wait for the Classic Grand now, only 3 1/2 weeks to go (not that I am counting).
