The sleek Tom Tom Go 720 is a portable navigation system for cars. The device is equipped with a 4.3 inch WQVGA antiglare touchscreen. It has a virtual keyboard with spacious keys. The device is equipped with Bluetooth and multimedia capabilities. Its innovative "Map Share" feature gives you access to the latest map updates. Its "Help Me" function comes handy in case of an emergency.
The device weighs 7.7 ounces and measures 4.6 x 3.2 x 0.9 inches. A jack on the back of the device allows you to put an external antenna on its top. Its screen has a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels that gives you bright and sharp images.
The Tom Tom Go 720 portable navigation system's new Map Share feature allows you to make adjustments to your maps. You can make a note for blocked roads and add new street locations. You can also share your updated information with other Tom Tom GPS users. Similarly you can also download the updated maps of other Tom Tom GPS users to your device. You need not worry about the legitimacy of these updates, as you always have a choice to download only that data which is verified by Tom Tom experts.
The portable navigation system comes packaged with a vehicle mount (windshield and dashboard), a CD-ROM with Tom Tom Home software, a desktop cradle, a car charger and reference material. The portable GPS comes preloaded with more than a million points of interest (POI) like ATMs, hospitals, hotels, cinema halls and parks. It also features a text and voice guided turn-by-turn directions function.
The Tom Tom Go 720 portable navigation system comes in three colours - black, silver and charcoal. Tap the device's "Help Me" button and it will immediately tell you about the location of nearest police station, hospital or a car service center. The "Where am I" feature of this portable GPS tells you the name and location of the street you are on. You may also pass this information to a tow truck service or your family members. These useful safety features often come handy in case of an emergency.

I've just bought my Dad a TomTom for Christmas and we can't get it off the 'Easy Port' holder! It's a TomTom classic XL. We've followed the visual instructions and they seem to sugget to pull it and I don't want to use any force if this is not correct. There are little lock and unlock pictures on the back but they don't seem to make a difference! Any help much appreciated!
